Metro North Has Adjusted Labor Day Weekend Schedule

"Getaway" trains Friday and Sunday service on Labor Day among the weekend's changes.

Labor Day weekend marks the end of the summer for many, as well as the last chance to have a warm-weather getaway in the region.

Metro North is offering additional "getaway" trains Friday to accommodate weekend travelers, as well as a Sunday schedule on Monday, which is a federal holiday.

Hudson Line "Getaway" trains from Grand Central Friday include:

  • 1:41 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
  • 1:45 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Tarrytown, Ossining and Croton-Harmon.
  • 1:48 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stops between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie.
  • 2:41 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
  • 2:45 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Tarrytown, Ossining and Croton-Harmon.
  • 2:48 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stops between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie.
  • 3:46 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street and Croton-Harmon.
  • 4:04 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, and Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
On the Harlem Line, additional trains from Grand Central will depart at:
  • 2:18 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between Scarsdale and North White Plains.
  • 3:13 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then White Plains and North White Plains only.
  • 3:34 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, White Plains, then all stations between Goldens Bridge through Southeast.

According to the Metro North Railroad website, "The following trains usually departing Grand Central will not operate or will make additional stops:

  • The 5:25 PM to Brewster will not operate.
  • The 6:36 PM to North White Plains will not operate.
  • The 7:02 PM to North White Plains will not operate."
