Lead Sponsor Northwell Health Tip: "Moms have always told children that vegetables are good for them, and they were right! Based on some estimates, vegetables supply over 50% of vitamins C and A, and much of our B6, magnesium, niacin, thiamin, and iron. Eating a variety of seasonal plant food, which supplies these and many more nutrients, can help reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease." Brought to you by Northern Westchester and Phelps, your local Northwell hospitals.
The Market has been selling its orange, reusable handled bags for years, but shoppers have asked for mesh bags too. The Market now (finally!) offers high-quality, machine washable mesh bags, made with 100% recycled material. Avoid ordering mesh bags online (requiring individual packing material and a delivery truck using fossil fuels) by purchasing yours at the Manger's Tent -- better for the environment! Overall, we hope these bags can prove convenient for our customers and lessen the use of roll bags at our produce vendors' booths.
