Motorcyclist Killed On Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant

The victim has been identified as a resident of Bronx, New York, state police said.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after colliding with a guardrail on the Taconic State Parkway.

State police said the crash happened around 9:16 p.m. on the northbound side of the parkway in Mount Pleasant.

Police identified the victim Thursday as Miguel Aguilar-Bruno, 39, of Bronx, New York.

An investigation showed Aguilar-Bruno was unable to navigate a curve in the roadway, lost control of his motorcycle and struck the guardrail, according to police.

Aguilar-Bruno was ejected from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
