Mt Pleasant To Study Traffic Around Belmont, West Stevens Roads

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — With a big e-commerce facility coming to 231 Saw Mill River Road, traffic pattern changes will take place on Route 9A, town officials said.

In anticipation, and in response to significant petition from local residents, Mount Pleasant is entering what officials called a "temporary soft closure" phase for West Stevens Avenue and Belmont Road.

Town officials request patience while they monitor traffic conditions for a period of time to assist in the decision of whether to close these roads permanently to non-emergency vehicles.
