Mt. Pleasant Library to Host Pleasantville STRONG Parent Forum

The forum will be held Wednesday, April 27 from 7-9 p.m.

The next Pleasantville STRONG parent forum will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library on Wednesday, April 27 from 7-9 p.m. The question is: Would you know what to look for if you believe your teen is using drugs and alcohol?

The forum, entitled, "Hidden in Plain Sight: What Parents Should Know about Current Drug Trends," will be led by Judy Mezey, assistant director for community-based programs at Student Assistant Services. Mezey will share information on current trends in youth drug use, including items associated with those trends that parents might overlook.

Beverly Piece, MA, LCSW, CASAC, CPP, program administrator and supervisor at Student Assistance Services, will provide parenting tips during the presentation. Pleasantville law enforcement personnel will also present on current trends seen among youth.
