New York State Police stationed along the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester today handed out 50 tickets over a six-hour period, according to a press release.
Police said the Memorial Day effort was part of the NYSP's mission to "make our roads safe for all users."
Of the 50 tickets issued today, 38 were for speeding and 12 were for other vehicles and traffic violations, police said.
