Opening Saturday: Briarcliff Blow Dry Bar

Briarcliff Manor salon Zokkoz will officially expand its reach with a blow dry bar at 1250 Pleasantville Rd. this Saturday.

The grand opening for Blow Dryz, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will include complimentary blow dries for customers until 12 p.m., refreshments and a chance to meet the staff.

Blow Dryz, owned by Zokkoz's Maryanne DeRose, will offer its customers the pampering of a typical hair salon, but without haircuts and coloring.

Instead, the menu includes a $25 shampoo and blow dry as its most expensive service (other than an event up-do).

Other servies will include a $5 shampoo-only treatment, $10 flat iron straightening or curling iron session, a $20 deep scalp and heat conditioner and clip-in extensions for $5 to $10.

Blow Dryz is moving into the space previously operated by Blackbelt Tae Kwon Do Center.
