Ossining Town Police Blotter: Car Window Broken; Coyote Sighting

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in the Town of Ossining from June 10 to 16, 2013.
Friday, June 14
1:02 p.m. — A resident of Riverview Road reported to county police that a stone retaining wall on his property was damaged by a postal vehicle. The resident said he has been in discussions with the Postal Service about repairs but wanted to document the incident with the county police as well.

Wednesday, June 12
7:57 p.m. — Westchester County Police responded to the Hudson Watch condominiums on a report that someone was going door-to-door in the complex soliciting donations to a private organization. A Manhattan resident was issued a summons for violating the local ordinance that requires solicitors to have a permit from the town.

3:32 p.m. — A resident of Ryder Road reported to police seeing a coyote on the grounds of the Maryknoll Sisters residence. The animal was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
The director of the Briarcliff Nursery School on Morningside Drive reported to police that someone forced open a security gate sometime overnight and entered the rear of the property. Nothing was missing and there did not appear to be any attempt to enter the building.
9:39 p.m. — Westchester County Police responded to Club Fit on June 10 on a report of a woman having a seizure. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the woman to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
An employee at Cedar Manor nursing home reported on June 12 that someone broke the driver’s side rear window of her car sometime after 7:45 a.m. while the vehicle was parked in the facility’s lot.
