Pace Swim Teams Fall vs. Bridgeport

Women

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.- The women's swimming and diving team dropped in dual meet action to the University of Bridgeport by a score of  103-58.

Georgie Goulding (Wellington, New Zealand/Wellington) took third place in the 800-sc-meter freestyle with a time of 9:56.15, while also coming in third place in the 100-sc-meter freestyle with a time of 1:07.85.

Alexis Chocianowski (Cambria Heights, NY/Mary Louis Academy) finished in third place in the 400-sc-freestyle with a time of 5:02.92.

The Setters return to action on Friday, January 18 when they will host Le Moyne College in a dual meet at 6 pm for senior night at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

Men

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.-  The men's swimming and diving team fell to the University of Bridgeport 121-62 in dual meet action.

Dogus Akay (Izmir, Turkey/Isikkent) took second place in the 200-sc-meter freestyle with a time of 1:56.43. Michael Fridman (Jerusalem, Israel/Zionist Village) came in second place in the 100-sc-meter backstroke with a time of 1:07.70.

Derek Slayton (Huntington Beach, CA/Marina/Cypress College) placed second in the 100-sc-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:06.58, while taking third in the 200-sc-meter IM with a time of 2:19.86.
