Pleasantville Blocks Streets For Block Party

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The Pleasantville Community Block Party is Saturday afternoon and evening, and the festivities will cover the Bedford Road parking lot plus sections of Washington Avenue and Wheeler Avenue.

The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce and Village of Pleasantville are building on the momentum from last year’s event. Admission is free, and the fun will include a car show, kids' games, live music, local vendors and food.

Remember, the two roads and the parking lot will be open only to pedestrians. Here are the details:

• Washington Avenue from Edgewood Avenue to Manville Road will be closed on Sat. from 12 to 6pm. Events on Washington Avenue will run from 2pm to 6pm.
• Wheeler Avenue from Manville Road to Bedford Road will be closed on Sat. from 12 to 9pm. Events on Wheeler Avenue will run from 2pm to 9pm.
• The Bedford Road Parking Lot will be closed on Sat. from 12 to 9pm. Events in the Bedford Road Parking Lot will run from 2pm to 9pm.

Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 2.
