Pleasantville BoE to Field Parent Questions Tuesday
Following the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the board of education will address concerns.

Prior to tomorrow's board of education meeting in Pleasantville, a four-person board will convene to speak informally with community members about the fatal shooting that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, on Friday.
"Parents can come and ask questions," said Board of Education Vice President Shane McGaffey, who will be running the meeting in President Lois Winkler's absence tomorrow.
The Q&A session will allow parents and community members to ask about school security measures, as well as counseling opportunities.

District Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter said over the weekend that the Pleasantville Police Department would continue to have a presence in the three schools today.
"Please be assured that the district’s staff and our community partners understand the concern our families have regarding safety," she wrote in an email alert to the community.
