Pleasantville Court: Jail Time in Larceny Case; Drug Cases Moved Up
Here's a look at some of the cases recently reviewed by Pleasantville's Justice Court.

Here's a look at what happened during Pleasantville Court's July 9 criminal session.
Court, Defense Impatient in Drug Case
The attorneys representing three of the four men arrested in March on felony drug charges in the village said they were growing impatient with the prosecution's requests for adjournments since the March 22 arrest date.
Pleasantville's Jose Delvalle, 22; David Waitt, 21; and Greenburgh's Amir Johnson, 19; were charged with multiple drug-related charges following their arrests, including felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.
Westchester County Assistant District Attorney Virginia Marciano told the court her office is still waiting on lab work to be completed in the cases and requested another adjournment until September. The attorneys for the defendants objected and Village Justice John Curley agreed that there have been delays in the case.
After some discussion, the three defendants, through their attorneys, agreed to appear back on July 23.
Grand Larceny Case Concludes
James Francis Coey, a 46-year-old village resident accused of stealing $5,000 in a local guitar sale, appeared in handcuffs for a final time.
Corey was arrested on Jan. 26, 2012 and charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree after he allegedly stole the funds involved in a guitar sale transaction.
Corey pled guilty to one count of Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 15 days in Westchester County Jail. He also was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution and was issued two permanent orders of protection in favor of the complaining victims in the case.
Note: All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. All ages represent the date of arrest.
