Pleasantville Court: Strangulation Defendant's Cases Move to County
A village man charged with grand larceny was re-arrested after his court appearance.

No Bail in Fugitive Case
A village man remains incarcerated without bail after he was arrested on a Fugitive from Justice charge following his January 22 court appearance in Pleasantville.

James Francis Corey, 46, faces a charge of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree in Pleasantville after he was accused of taking $5,000 during a guitar sale transaction last year.
During court appearances in early 2012, Corey's attorney stated he had been extradited to Utah for a period of time where he faced other criminal charges.

In Pleasantville on Jan. 22, Corey's case was put over until February 19, but has since been moved up to February 5.
Westchester County Jail records indicate he is still in custody without bail set.
Strangulation Defendant Heading to Count
Ossining's Tyrell P. Jones appeared in court to answer to three open cases in Pleasantville.
The 34-year-old was most recently arrested on Aug. 19, 2012 and charged with Strangulation in the Second Degree, two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, Burglary in the Second Degree and Aggravate Criminal Contempt after he broke into a village resident's home and attempted to strangle her, as well as assault the responding police officer, according to police.
His other two open cases date back to June of 2012.
He has been incarcerated without bail set since the August arrest.
According to Westchester County Jail records, Jones additionally faces a felony DWI charge and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree Charge in county court.
The Pleasantville matters were all adjourned until February 19 for control, but the village cases will all be heard as part of a grand jury hearing in Westchester County on February 6.
