Pleasantville Honors 2016 Business Person of the Year
The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce will present Paul Alvarez with a plaque in honor of the occasion, in addition to a proclamation.

From Pleasantville Chamber: On Wednesday, April 26, the Pleasantville community honors the 2016 Business Person of the Year, Paul Alvarez, co-owner of Alvarez Cleaning Services and Alvarez Home Services, located at 84 Washington Avenue. These family owned businesses have served residents of Westchester County for over 16 years.
The Alvarez family immigrated one by one, to America from Ecuador beginning in 1989. It was an easy decision for Paul’s parents, Maritza and Bill Alvarez, to start a business in Pleasantville where the community welcomed and accepted them.
In 2006, after graduating from SUNY Oneonta, Paul became more involved in marketing of his family’s business. The company is a Best of Westchester Award recipient for window cleaning and was chosen as a Business of the Week by the Examiner News.

He’s a homeowner in Pleasantville where he lives with his wife, Katie, and their six month-old son, Brendan, and Morkie dog, Bailey. Although Paul was born in Ecuador, he considers his home to be Pleasantville. His mission is to give back to the community that has given so much to his family.
Business people, local officials and other community members will join in the celebration at Tesoro D’Italia Ristorante, 160 Marble Ave., at a cocktail reception, 5:30pm-7:30pm.
