Pleasantville PD: Dreidel Damage Could Be Weather-Related

During the holiday season, the Pleasantville Police Department reported three separate incidents of damage to the village's dreidel (click here, here and here to read more).

The dreidel was lit at the end of November along with the village's holiday tree.

Police Detective Herb Peterson said both patrol officers and the departments detectives investigated the reported incidents.

"We were unable to determine if the damage was criminal mischief or weather-related," he said, adding just the dreidel's base had been compromised.

"The dreidel itself was never damaged," Det. Peterson said.
