It is not just about building; participants will learn what direct current is and which materials conduct electricity as well as what happens when one places batteries in series. Children will learn what resistors and capacitors do while creating their own batteries. They will also create a mind-reading game, a musical doorbell and lie detector and control electronic currents by the clap of their hands. The Sciensational Workshop series is one of science, fun and hands-on education.
Additionally, from 12:45-3:45 p.m., children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be able to design a hover craft for their vehicle egg-drop car. The fee for this is $160.

Participants will build and keep an air-powered hover craft that defies gravity. Once it’s up and moving, children will use their creativity to control the hover craft's direction. The purpose is to build a gravity vehicle that can cushion a raw egg as the car holding the egg is dropped from a high height. Staff will provide all materials. Children will also build a super car powered by more than one source of energy.
