Pleasantville-Briarcliff: Heavy Rain All Day

A regional flood watch is in effect through 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 15.

Another day, another onslaught of rain.

Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville are again being hit with heavy rain today, a trend expected to continue possibly through Friday afternoon.

As of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service says there is a chance of thunderstorms prior to 3 p.m. today and continued heavy rainfall all night.

Between the daylight and nighttime hours, up to two inches of rain could accumulate in the villages.

A flood watch remains in effort through 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Be alert and aware of flooding in low-lying areas, including the Pleasantville portion of the Saw Mill River Parkway, which has closed several times recently.

Tomorrow, there is a 50 percent chance of showers, "mainly before 3 p.m.," according to NWS.

Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high of 76 degrees.
