The New (Market) Year is just getting underway but the 1st round of the 2024 BEST OF WESTCHESTER contest is coming to a close (next week on January 10th).Love the Market? You can use these links to VOTE TODAY in two "Best" categories: “Farmers Market” and “Produce”.

SOME WINTER DETAILS

Please note that winter season hours are 9:30am-12:00pm.

SNOW?! If a weather-related closure is required due to ongoing snow on a Saturday, we send out a special Friday newsletter announcing that closure, and post a notice to our website's homepage and social media.
(Currently, the forecast for this Saturday appears to have no snow during market hours).

All our vendors offer their full line of products for walk up purchases December through March. A few vendors also have set up their own methods for shoppers to be able to preorder products if they wish. That information is listed below:

Maple View Farm's new preorder system is open Tuesday, 7pm thru Thursday, 7pm. To begin click https://www.mapleviewfarmny.com/shop. Their system ensures you can get their tender greens, including on winter Saturdays below freezing when the farm cannot display greens for walk up purchases.

VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS

Maple View Farms is highlighting the importance of preordering your Maple View products as winter begins to get too cold for them to display tender greens for walk up shopping on some Saturdays. Use their new preorder system at mapleviewfarmny.com/shop to get what you need (their online store is open Tues 7pm - Thurs 7pm).

On Saturday Hilly Acres Farm will bring a wide variety of pork, beef, chicken and they have fresh brown eggs. It’s soup season and they have a great selection of smoked pork hocks, bacon ends, and osso bucco -- add some veggies from the Market to make a delicious soup.

Chaseholm Farm Creamery is in with their CO, small-batch soft-ripened and longer-aged raw milk cheeses, and 100% grass-based yogurt. They also carry products from neighboring Jarcuterie.

Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse makes delicious cranberry walnut breadsticks -- a treat with one of their artisanal cheeses. They also are highlighting they produce Meadow Fettuccini and Emmer Fettuccini.

Warm up at the Market with a cup of coffee or tea from Teagevity, and consider stocking up on their line of traditional loose leaf or herbal fruit, teas.

Pura Vida Fisheries uses its fresh seafood to create soups and other convenient items each week. Pick some up while gathering fish for the week.

Both Noble Pies and Red Barn Bakery will be in with their excellent sweet and savory baked items.

Himalayan Delish is in Saturdays (weather permitting) to offer early morning egg sandwiches (made with fresh eggs from Hilly Acres Farm on a choice of Orwasher's onion or Ciabatta roll) and their wonderful Momo dumplings (frozen to go, or hot to eat at the Market).

Mead Orchards is in with almost all their varieties of Hudson Valley apples, and they offer fresh cider (regular and apple-cherry). Their Evercrisp apples are sooo crisp!

Spice Revolution is focused on helping home cooks refresh their spice supplies for 2024. In with the new! Check your spice cabinet and stock up Saturday on staples such as ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, chili powder, oregano, and many more.

Edgwick Farm will visit this Saturday. Shop from their hard goat cheeses and popular soft goat cheese options.

Gajeski Produce has items for walk up shoppers including fresh herbs, stored squash, potatoes, roots veggies, fresh scallions, leeks, greens, lettuce mixes, and huge heads of cauliflower!

Trotta Foods as numerous pastas, sauces, soups, and prepared meals to make help tired holiday cooks enjoy some easy and delicious meals at this time of year.

Cooper's Daughter Spirits will be in on Saturday with their unique, seasonal batch spirits. created with ingredients farm-sourced and foraged from the Hudson Valley.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

For the health and safety of our shoppers, please note that the Village of Pleasantville and Market operator, Foodchester, Inc., run the Pleasantville Farmers Market as a dog-free environment.

Pleasantville's Memorial Plaza parking lot is FREE between 8am - 1pm. After 1pm the parking lot requires payment for any cars present. Note that all street parking locations still require payment on Saturdays at all times. The Village's Pango smartphone app and two pay stations are available to make payment. Visit Pleasantville Farmers Market and double your SNAP dollars! The Pleasantville Farmers Market happily accepts SNAP/EBT benefits -- and now you can double your SNAP dollars (up to $40) thanks to a generous grant from our local hospitals, Phelps Hospital and Northern Westchester Hospital, both part of the Market's Lead Sponsor Northwell Health. Simply bring your SNAP card to the Managers Tent at the entrance to the Market where we can swipe your card to exchange the amount of benefits you wish to use as $1 or $5 SNAP Market coins. For every dollar you redeem (up to $40), you will receive two dollars in SNAP Market coins. These coins are accepted at any Market vendor displaying our green SNAP signage.
