What's Opening & Closing on Marble Avenue?
The up-and-coming business district in Pleasantville is seeing some turnover.
Insurance, cheesesteaks and wine are among the new offerings being served up on Marble Avenue in Pleasantville.
The up-and-coming avenue in the village has recently seen a big addition—the under construction Zwilling J.A. Henckels facility at 270 Marble Ave.—and much of the business district also seems to be experiencing turnover.
At the end of last month, longtime village staple Plaza Video shut its doors, and a new tenant is already in the works. According to a building permit in the window of the Camilli Building at 210 Marble Ave., the store will soon be home to Marble Avenue Wines, an "off-premises liquor store."
The liquor store will also take over the space previously occupied by Odyssey Game & Tournament Center.
In the same shopping center, Johnny B's Underground Deli will be replacing Pizzarelli, as Patch previously reported.
Across the street from the Camilli Building, a second shopping center is also seeing a number of changes.
Bare Skin & Laser recently moved in, next to the also new Edward Jones Financial and State Farm offices.
In the same shopping center, a sign in the year-old restaurant Louie & Johnnie's Cheesesteaks and Clam Bar says the restaurant is currently closed for renovations. It will reopen in September.
