White Plains' Thirsty Turtle is Now The Rec Room [VIDEO]
Westchester's newest live music venue, at 201 E. Post Rd. in White Plains, will open its doors tomorrow.
The days of fist pumping at , affectionately known as “The Turtle" or "Turtle,” will soon be memory as The Rec Room moves into its space at 201 E. Post Rd. in White Plains—bringing a new venue to Westchester where music lovers can rock out to the latest live bands and DJs.
The Rec Room—which will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.—will hold its grand opening on Saturday, April 14 at 9 p.m. The inaugural band will be Whoz Ya Daddy, followed by DJ Louie Nunez. Admission is free before 10 p.m.
The new owners of the former “Turtle,” which would have celebrated its 11th birthday on Thursday, says that The Rec Room won't have the same young-crowd and scene as it did when it was The Thirsty Turtle, but will cater to all crowds: young and old, the laid back music junkies and the party people.

You can grab some dinner in White Plains then head over to see different types of live bands from all over the tri-state , then make it back at midnight to take tge babysitter home. Or you stick around all night for all the bands and DJs and enjoy a party scene into the earlier hours of the evening.
