Wild Weather in Store for Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor

The National Weather Service is forecasting storms, hail and even a possible risk for a tornado for the Westchester area.

More wild, summer weather is on its way to Westchester County.

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement and Hazardous Weather Outlook today.

According to the NWS, the villages may see severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

"Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are the main threats," the NWS stated. "Large hail is possible as well. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out."

In the villages, a storm is most likey to hit again after 4 p.m. The high temperature today will reach 91 degrees, according to the NWS.

On Friday, thunderstorms are likely beginning around 9 a.m., bringing hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.

The weekend kicks off on a wet note, with a 50 percent chance of rain in the afternoon.

However, Sunday and Monday are likely to be "mostly sunny."
