Pleasantville Firefighters' Parade
Where/When: Travels from the Mount Pleasant Public Library to Memorial Plaza, Manville Road, Grove Street, Edgewood Avenue and ends at the Washington Avenue firehouse on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m.
Why go: Locals can come out and cheer for local volunteer firefighters from more than 25 area departments. This year, the Sandy Hook Fire Department will be honored as it participates in the parade.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Briarcliff Middle School on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 2 at 3 p.m.
Why go: Briarcliff Middle School students are taking on a twist to the classic Hans Christian Anderson The Ugly Ducking tale. Tickets can be purchased in advance at showtix4u.com.
Pricing: $10 in advance (plus a .45 booking fee)
Where/When: Briarcliff Middle School on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why go: NWCS offers language classes for pre-kindergarten through 12th graders, as well as cultural electives. Visit www.nwcsny.org for more information.

Dixieland Express Concert
Where/When: Mount Pleasant Public Library on Sunday, June 2 at 2 p.m.
Why go: The Dixieland Express Jazz Band will bring the music of George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael, Ethel Waters and other Dixieland favorites to life. The group is comprised of local musicians and will feature vocalist Maria Matir this weekend.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Starts at Valhalla High School (300 Columbus Ave.) on Sunday, June 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Why go: Valhalla's Security World is sponsoring a Drive & Dine this weekend to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Sign-in begins at 9:30 a.m. for vehicles, which will line-up at Valhalla HS. The driving tour begins at 11 a.m. The ride ends at Sir John's Restaurant (915 N. Broadway North White Plains), where there will be w car show, luncheon, raffles and auctions. Pricing: $80 to register your car (includes lunch for two); $35 for the luncheon with raffles and food
