Dig In! Kids Garden Party

Where/WhenBriarcliff Manor Public Library on Thursday, July 18 at 6 p.m.

: The garden comes indoors (to the air conditioning!) at a garden party suitable for kids ages two-and-a-half up to 7-years-old and their caregivers at the library Thursday. There will be stories, games and a craft—all with a garden theme.

Ramadan Dinner

Where/When: Our Lady of Shkodra (361 W Hartsdale Ave. Hartsdale) on Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m.
Why go: An Intercultural Ramadan Dinner, Hosted by the Turkish Cultural Center of Westchester and held at Our Lady of Shkodra Church in Hartsdale, promoting peace and harmony between the 3 Abrahamic Religions. There will be a live music performance along with traditional dancing by the whirling dervishes.

Art Workshop

Where/WhenMount Pleasant Public Library on Thursday, July 18 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Why go: Artist Quincy Egginton will be on-hand to work with kids ages six through eight on nature-themed collages. The artwor will include materials like sand, seashells and stones. Register in advance by calling the library: 769-0548.

Ossining Bicentennial Movies Under the Stars

Where/When: Veteran’s Park Roller Rink (Narragansett Avenue in Ossining) on Friday, July 19 at 9 p.m.
Why go: The Village of Ossining is continuing its bicentennial celebrtions with a screening of inspirational ice hockey film Miracle. The pre-film concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the park with music from the local Riskos. Picnics and lawn chairs are welcome; no alcohol is permitted.
