Why go: The Pleasantville Chamber Society's 36th season continues with a performance by the Polaris Trio—Mark Hill on oboe and English horn, Katherine Murdock on viola and Audrey Andrist on piano. Free parking available at and near the church.

Where/When: The Briar's Restaurant on Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 5 to 11 p.m.

Recreation Department Opening

Where/When: Pleasantville Recreation Department 

Why go: Check out the Pleasantville Rec. Department's new digs at the former PVAC building on Marble Avenue (adjacent to Parkway Field). There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.

Pleasantville Indoor Farmers' Market

Where/When: Pleasantville Middle School on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
