Board OKs $25M Affordable Housing Complex in Port Jeff Station
The complex will include 77 apartments.

The Brookhaven Town Planning Board on Monday approved a developer's plans to build a $25million affordable housing complex in Port Jefferson Station.
The developer, Ralph Fasano of Port Jefferson Station, plans to construct 77 apartments near East Grove street and Route 112.
According to officials, construction is expected to begin next month and will take 18 months to finish.

Newsday reported that some units will be reserved specifically for veterans.
The project will include the construction of a community building and recreational area.

At a board meeting on Monday, Fasano said the $25 million includes buying the land and building costs.
