A kick off for a drug abuse prevention program for Port Jefferson School District. Phoenix House and Strategic Protection Group will help the community to establish a prevention system of parents, schools, peers, law enforcement, and healthcare organizations. Stephen Dewey, Ph.D., an expert on the neurological effects of drugs, local narcotics detectives, and a panel of families affected by substance abuse will be on hand for a discussion. 6:30: Welcome 6:45: Dr. Dewey 7:15: Strategic Protection Group - Keynote 8:00: Panel Discussion 8:45: Closing Remarks , 350 Old Post Road Port Jefferson, NY 11777 from 6 – 8 p.m.
