Five Students Get Third Place At The Annual Marketing Competition
Comsewogue students come in third place after inventing shoe product for Briarcliffee competition.
Comsewogue High School's Gianna Bottone, Ashley Healy, Jackie Lupo, Paige Papile and Nicole Verdone recently competed and won third place at the Briarcliffee Colleges' 9th Annual Marketing Competition.
Students who entered were required to develop and present an elaborate PowerPoint presentation to a set of judges, with a live audience watching. During the presentation, the groups were supposed to include a set of commercials and really sell their idea with the intent of convincing the audience to
invest and trust in their product.
"These talented young ladies, who are current juniors and sophomores at Comsewogue High School [are] dedicated young entrepreneurs, who proved their
dedication and talent every day after school for the past two months," said Principal Joseph Coniglione.
Coniglione said the students developed the Lo-Hi Heel. The idea behind their invention is that the shoe can change its look and height in mere seconds by screwing off a heel and replacing it with a different one depending on the occasion.
