- Have you taken a ride on a horse and carriage? That will be one of the attractions during the Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson! Tours will be available Saturday and Sunday for $7.09 per person. Stay aware that tickets must be purchased in advance at eventbrite.com.
(Newsday/Subscription Required) - Port Jefferson Village Center is accepting donations of new unwrapped toys for the Village's Toys for Tots 2022. If you would like to be part of this campaign that aims to help kids in need to have a Merry Christmas, you can drop your item off through Dec. 7. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
- Police are investigating a possible drowning in Great South Bay. Officials pulled a young male's body out of the water after receiving a 911 call that reported someone was floating in the area. The discovery was nearby the South of Fire Avenue at 2:40 p.m. Police and medical examiners are working to identify the person. (Smithtown Matters)
- A housing project has been proposed and is under discussion in Port Jefferson. The complex would be built nearby the Lawrence Aviation property, which raised concerns about a possible toxic plume. (LI News12)
