Mac N' Cheese Crawl Planned For Next Weekend In Suffolk County

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce's fourth annual Mac n’ Cheese Crawl comes back to the village the weekend of Jan. 28 to coincide with the ice festival.

The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29, but the first day has already been sold out.

As part of the crawl, 12 restaurants will feature their version of the classic dish and the tasting will reflect the type of cuisine from their menu. Participating restaurants include:

• Curry Club at SaGhar – 111 West Broadway
• Gourmet Burger Bistro – 5 Mill Creek Rd.
• Port Jeff Lobster House – 134 Main St.
• Spycoast – 140 Main St.
• The Whiskey Barrel – 138 Main St.
• Torte Jeff Pie Co. – 218 East Main St.
• Nantuckets – 9 Traders Cove
• Pasta Pasta – 234 East Main St.
• Barito’s Tacos & Cocktails – 201 Main St.
• PJ Bistro & Pub – 201 A Main St.
• Prohibition Kitchen – 115 Main St.
• The Steamroom – 4 East Broadway

Tickets, which as $25 and non-refundable, must be picked up at the chamber's office to receive a map featuring participating restaurants. Tickets can be picked up the week of Jan. 23 at the chamber's office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be special opening hours on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for last-minute pick-ups.

Ticket holders are asked to bring their Eventbrite receipt or electronic receipt with them.

If the weather is inclement, and the Winter Ice Festival is postponed to the following weekend, tickets will be honored for the same day as originally purchased.
