Mayor, Trustees Run Unopposed, Reelected in Village Vote

Mayor, two trustees and justice reelected Tuesday.

Results are in for the Port Jefferson Village Election, with the mayor, two trustees and justice reelected after running unopposed.

Port Jefferson Mayor Margot Garant, Trustee Adrienne Kessel and Trustee Larry LaPointe all ran unopposed for the second straight election. Garant received 69 votes, Kessel 62 and LaPoint 64. Justice John F. Reilly was reelected with 82 votes.

Garant and Kessel each begin their third two-year term, while LaPointe will begin his second term. Polls closed at 9 p.m.
