Crepe and Rice Pudding Bar Planned to Replace Eat Piada

Opening November, 2012, owners plan to serve crepes and rice pudding.

If you're desperately missing Eat Piada, then nothing soothes the soul like comfort food, especially a good rice pudding bar. A sign on the window at the Chandler Square retail space says this fall, that's exactly what's planned to replace the restaurant that closed down this summer.

Maria Palmar, a local real estate agent, filled the space at 104 Main Street in Chandler Square. She said the couple who also own Ralph's Famous Italian Ices on Main Street took over the shop and plan to open a new place called "Sweet n' Savory."

With an exclusive to represent all the Chandler Square units, Palmar has placed over 90 percent of the retailers there. She said that the new restaurant is "bringing us crepes and rice pudding."
