2. Theatre Three in Port Jefferson has a brand new children’s show titled Dorothy’s Adventures in Oz. The classic's message stays the same but a little twist will impress the audience along with over 10 original songs and dance as Dorothy and her friends travel down the Yellow Brick Road. • " An off-duty detective shot a man who was trying to burglarize his Long Island home early Saturday, police said. According to Suffolk County police, a man was breaking into a home on 5th Avenue in West Babylon at about 3:30 a.m. when the homeowner, an NYPD detective, shot the man. The man, who police did not name, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries." (Patch)
