- Port Jefferson Comsewogue High School honored graduates who are currently serving the military. Most of them are serving all over the world so, the Holiday Club Fair invited their families to participate in the event and to receive a care package containing holiday goodies. (TBRNews)
- Protests against mask mandate grows all over Long Island. Gov. Kathy Hochul’s mandate requires businesses that don't ask for proof of vaccination to wear masks indoors. A fine up to $1,000 will apply per violation. One of the protests took place outside a New York State Office Building in Hauppauge where health care workers protested against the new measures. - One seat is due to expire at the Port Jefferson Free Library Board of Trustees. Jennifer Schaefer will not seek for re-election in January. One of the candidates running unopposed is Carl Siegel. Siegel has been serving the library since 1994 and one of his projects was to create a Children's Library and the Adult reading room. (TBRNews)
- Port Jefferson students received All State honors for their participation in the fall athletic season. Kate Sommerstad, Olivia Schlegel, Luke Filippi and Alexa Ayotte worked hard all year to improve their fitness and skill level to perform at their absolute best. (Port Jefferson School District)
