  1. Suffolk Police detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Port Jefferson Station. The accident happened on Friday, Jan. 7 around 7:39 p.m. A pedestrian was crossing Nesconset Highway when he was struck by a 2019 Honda driven by Kevin Henry. A 2013 Volkswagen driven by Jessica Blydenburgh also hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The drivers were not injured. Both vehicles were taken for a safety check.   2. The Port Jefferson Winter Farmer’s Market starts this weekend! Sunday, Jan. 9, is set for the first day of the PJ Indoors Farmer Market. The event will be held at the Village Hall located at 121 West Broadway, Port Jefferson, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The village also needs the support from the local community to help keep the market running and continue to provide entertainment and activities each week.
