- Port Jefferson's new senior community is expected to open this fall. The new facility will offer 94 independent apartments located at 1175 NY-112, nearby to the Long Island Sound, Port Jefferson Marina, Harborfront Park, and Village Center. - The Port Jefferson Documentary Series will continue in the spring season with a screening of "Refuge" at Theatre Three. "Refuge" is a story about fear and love in South America and will be on screen on March 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person at the door or register in advance at www.portjeffdocumentaryseries.com. - Po'Boy Brewery in Port Jefferson won the Best Long Island (BOLO) contest as the best craft brewery on Long Island. The brewery's founder, Bob Rodrigez, started his business brewing at home and in 2013 he opened the Po'Boy brewery at 200 Wilson St., Port Jefferson. (Patch)
- Town of Brookhaven will offer spring education programs for residents once again. On March 26, The Town's Safety Department will host a free bicycle rodeo to teach kids about safety.
