Here are the top 5 stories today in Port Jefferson:
- Port Jefferson High School seniors William Wu and Hugo Onghai have been nominated as the top two students of the class of 2022. Wu has participated in art clubs, jazz bands, robotics teams, and more. Onghai is a winner of the Suffolk County Mathematics League. The school district congratulates both students for their achievements. (PJSD)
- Easter parade and egg hunt will start at noon on April 17. The event will feature an Old-Fashioned "Easter Bonnet" with the Easter Bunny riding on it! The parade will start in front of Theatre Three and will finish at the Port Jefferson Harbor, where the egg hunt will start. (PJCofC)
- Saturday's concerts at the Historic All Souls Church in Stony Brook feature violinist Joenne Dumistracu. The event will be held on April 9 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 61 Main St., Stony Brook. A donation of a can of food will be appreciated to help St Gerard Majella's food pantry. (PJCofC)
- Port Jefferson Village Center announced that metered parking is open for all now. Residents can fill up the application to obtain a resident sticker online and it will be mailed to you. Click here. (PJVC)
- Nearby News: Kings Park school district mourn the loss of principal Dr. Karen Lessler who died suddenly. "She did so much for everyone," a close friend said. "Hope we do something amazing for her." Lessler was 65 years old. (News12)
