  1. U-Haul Company partnered up with Sunoco of Port Jefferson Station and opened a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Port Jefferson Station community. Sunoco of Port Jefferson Station at 200 Route 112 will offer services like U-Haul trucks, towing equipment, moving supplies, and in-store pickup for boxes. When a customer rents from a U-Haul dealer, they are directly supporting small businesses in their community. (LongIsland.com)
  2. The Port Jefferson Union School District opened pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration for September 2022. The elementary school registration packet and HLQ form can be found in the Central Registration tab on the district website.   5. Tourism on Long Island is expected to climb up as MacArthur Airport becomes busier with new airlines coming in. MacArthur could generate $276 million in tourist spending annually, according to an HIA-LI analysis, these numbers are based on the possibility of 100 flights a day, as opposed to the current 20 flights a day, according to airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken.
