1. Port Jefferson Free Library is presenting an author panel event with writers Catherine Asaro, Sarah Beth Durst and Kelley Skovron. The meeting is set for Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the meeting room. Register here. (PJFL)
2. Jingle and Mingle! Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual holiday party at Theatre Three on Dec. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and includes food, drink and dessert. 3. For those who enjoy history, the Ward Melville Heritage Organization is hosting another session of the walking tour – “Winter Secrets.” The participants will walk around Stony Brook Village with a hot chocolate drink to keep it warm while listening to stories about famous residents, the arctic fever, the Polaris Whaleboat and more! • This is the season to be shopping! Port Jefferson Village wants an excellent experience for those on the run to get a perfect gift to give to loved ones and to give back to the community. Shop, Sip and Snacks will be offered by some retailers on Main Street every Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. until Dec. 21!
