Port Jefferson Launches Village Earth Cam

Miss watching the sun set over Port Jefferson Harbor during the summer? Well, now you can catch the beautiful site all year.

The Village of Port Jefferson today launched a live EarthCam, which will broadcast the village, including a section of Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park overlooking the water every day of the year. The live cam will also be used for educational and social activities, the village said.

"We are so very proud to have the Village of Port Jefferson be the first village in Suffolk County, Long Island on the EarthCam network,” Mayor Margot Garant said. “Now, its residents, visitors and the world can share in the beauty of our stunning harbor-front village. Being a four-season village, we are excited about the many changes of scenery that everyone will be able to see live from any place around the world."
