Vandermeulen High School senior Luke Dickhuth is among four students on Long Island and only 25 students statewide who were nominated by the New York State Education Department for the 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.Luke was selected by The Commission on Presidential Scholars, a group tasked with identifying high school scholars each year based on academic achievements, artistic excellence and community service, among other things.
