Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: Jan. 22, 2023 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School sophomore Colin Veit qualified for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships in the 100-butterfly. Colin's time in the 100-butterfly at the independent swim meet on Jan. 19 at West Islip High qualified him for the state championships. The swimming championships will take place on March 3-4 at Ithaca College.
