  1. Port Jefferson Village Center is asking for help to brighten a child's holiday season with a donation for Toys For Tots. If you would like to participate in this campaign, please, bring a new unwrapped toy to the Village Center by Dec. 7. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  2. Small Business Saturday kicks off on Nov. 26 in Port Jefferson. Our local stores will offer deals all day for all shoppers, that will be something for everybody. Remember to get coffee before heading to the stores! (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  3. A home fire was reported on Thursday on Balin Avenue in Setauket. Marshals arrived at the scene at 3:20 p.m. No injuries were reported, and officials are investigating the cause of the fire. (Patch)
  4. Starbucks workers are protesting for better pay and schedules. Over 100 coffee stores went on strike on Thursday. In some spots, baristas gave out red cups with the union logo instead of the traditional holiday cup designed by the company. (LI News12)
