🌱 Port Jefferson Village Festival Of Trees + New Museum In The Area

Hello again, everybody! I'm back with your new edition of the Port Jefferson Daily. Let's get this Sunday started with a quick dive into everything you need to know about what's happening in town these days. Today we have these stories and more...

• Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Tree Festival.
• The Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall is now open in Stony Brook.
• Consewogue students held a healthy bake sale and more!

Here are the top four stories in Port Jefferson today:

1. The Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Festival of Trees at the Village Center. The contest features over 30 trees that our local businesses will decorate. The art pieces will be displayed on Dec. 1 on the second floor from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visitations are free and open to all. (Port Jefferson Patch)
2. Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall celebrated its grand opening event. The new venue can now be visited Wednesdays-Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. If you would like more info regarding tickets and displays, you can see the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. (PIX11 New York News)
3. Port Jefferson Station Comsewogue students decided to make a different bake sale this year. Instead of the traditional muffins and brownies, there were healthy alternatives such as a banana power bar. All sales proceeds go toward the scholarship programs. (TBR News Media)
4. The Cedar Beach Plunge challenge gathered many brave community members up to a "freezing dip!" The event was held on Nov. 19. and was themed "Freezin’ for a Reason" and raised $128,000 that will go towards the Special Olympics New York organization. (TBR News Media)
