Port Jefferson volleyball Team Heads To Suffolk County Finals
The team will play against Mattituck on Nov. 3.

The Port Jefferson varsity girls volleyball team had a tremendous season, finishing 11-1 as the co-league champions of League VI. It is the first league title for the team since 2002. Their tireless effort and strong play at the net has helped lead them to the Suffolk County championship.

The team will play against Mattituck on Wednesday, Nov. 3. The class C championship match will take place at Hauppauge High School at 7 p.m. Mattituck and Port Jefferson split their regular season games against each other, with each team winning on their home court.
This will be a tremendous battle with two extremely talented teams. Athletic Director Adam Sherrard said, “Based on the resilience and desire this team demonstrated throughout the season, I am confident they will rise to the challenge next Wednesday.”
