  1. Port Jefferson Village 2022 Harvest Fest is Saturday. This weekend will be filled with events on Main Street from noon to 5 p.m. Music, crafts, food, cornhole contest and games. You name it! Access the schedule of activities and map here. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  2. Voters who need to request an absentee ballot have until Monday, Oct. 24, to apply. Requests can be made by letter, fax, or online at www.vote411.org. (CPLIB)
  3. Check out the Window Painting Contest at Port Jefferson Village Center on Saturday, Oct. 22. Please stop by to watch and cheer our local artists competing for a first-place prize. This year, the theme is Halloween or Fall. Paint brushes will start to do "their magic" at 10 a.m. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  4. Students from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School have been nominated "Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program." Matthew Buonomo, Luke Dickhuth and Teppei Fukuto were recognized for their performance on the test to qualify for the program. (Patch)
