Snow Creates Dangerous Roads, Students Get Dismissed Early
A light layer of snow covered the ground in Port Jefferson Tuesday morning.
Tuesday's snow brought slippery roads and early closings of schools in Port Jefferson, Port Jefferson Station and Mount Sinai.

Comsewogue School District:
High School will be dismiss at 11 a.m.
Middle School will be dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
Boyle and Terryville Elementary will dismissed at 12:15 p.m.
Clinton and Norwood will dismiss at 1 p.m.
Daycares will remained open as long as possible. But District officials ask parents to pick up their children as quickly as possible.
Port Jefferson School District:
Port Jefferson MS/HS has been dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

The Elementary School will dismiss at 12:30.
All afternoon/evening activities (including the Board of Education meeting) have been canceled. The football booster club dinner has also been canceled for this evening.
Mount Sinai
Although snowplows were out clearing the roads, it is only expected to get worse overnight as the snow freezes to ice. All school districts and local police officials are warning residents to take it nice and slow while driving today.
