- Theatre Three features ‘Barnaby Saves Christmas’ through Dec. 30. Authors Douglas Quattrock and Jeffrey Sanzel wrote the play eighteen years ago. The musical shows Barnaby, the Elf, making sure all gifts are delivered on time spreading the message that every day is a new opportunity to be a better yourself. - The Steam Room Restaurant welcomes all to enjoy a free Thanksgiving Meal today from noon to 5 p.m. The menu is the traditional turkey and its classic side dishes: stuffing, gravy, and vegetables. The restaurant is at 4 East Broadway, Port Jefferson. All are welcome. (Port Jefferson CofC)
- This month Brookhaven Town Clerk Donna Lent announced her retirement after more than twenty years working in public service. Supervisor Ed Romaine thanked Lent at the board meeting on Nov. 10. (TBR News Media)
- The 22nd Annual Lights of Love event will be held at the Good Shepherd Hospice Center of the St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. The ceremony to remember the loved ones this season will be hosted in two separate sessions. The first meeting is on Tuesday, Nov.29, at 6 p.m. The next gathering is Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. in Farmingdale. (Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce)

- Drop in at Port Jefferson Free Library on Nov. 27 between 2 and 4 p.m. to participate in the Sunday Crafternoon. Families are welcome to have fun making crafts together. No registration is required. (PJFL)
- Port Jefferson Middle School served a Thanksgiving luncheon for our senior citizens on Nov. 16. Turkey and dessert were done for the special guests, including a lady who graduated from Port Jeff High in 1950. (Patch)
- A family from Setauket sought a liver donor match for their 8-month-old daughter who needs a transplant. Little Sadie is at the Mount Sinai Children’s Hospital in New York City. The baby has been diagnosed with rare biliary atresia. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family while Sadie is under treatment. (News 12 Bronx)
