Suffolk Smoke Shop Employee Sold Cannabis Without License: Police
A large quantity of cannabis and hemp products, unstamped cigarettes, and flavored vapes were sold at the shop, Suffolk cops say.
CORAM, NY – An employee of a Coram smoke shop was arrested Wednesday in connection with selling cannabis products without a license, Suffolk police said.
A search warrant was executed at Chico’s Smoke Shop on Route 112 where a large quantity of cannabis and hemp products, unstamped cigarettes, and flavored vape products were sold, and an employee of the store was arrested at around 2:20 p.m., according to police.
The warrant was prompted by an investigation by 6th Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with Town of Brookhaven Law Department investigators, as well as the Building Inspector’s and Fire Marshal’s office, and Suffolk’s Health Department’s Tobacco Enforcement unit, police said.

The 32-year-old man from Coram was charged with two counts of unauthorized sale of cannabis products without a license, second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, and possessing or selling unstamped cigarettes, all misdemeanors.
He was released on Desk Appearance Tickets and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
