Wintertide Concert Series Kicks Of In Port Jefferson

Winter music series runs through March.

The Wintertide Concert Series at the Village Center in Port Jefferson kicked off this last week with a folk performance from Hungrytown.

The music series, which runs from November to March, features 20 performances across a variety of genres.

"Most of the musicians write their own tunes, or perform songs by their talented friends, while others focus on interesting historical styles from the past or music from other countries," according to the village.

Performances take place every Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and is free for all Port Jefferson residents.

Performances include the Long Island Classical Guitar Society Member Showcase, Dee Harris with Nitim Mohan, Glenn Pettit, Douglas Baldwin, Harris Becker, Travis McKeveney & The Famous Dr. Scanion Band and more.
