With Dark Child, a Tattoo Artist Brings His Talent Home

A Port Jefferson High School graduate, Ariel Padilla discovered his art in ink.

Ariel Padilla has traveled from Port Jefferson to New York City and back again in his journey as a tattoo artist. The Times Beacon Record recently profiled Padilla, a 1987 graduate of who opened his first tattoo parlor in Ozone Park, Queens. With Dark Child Tattoo on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station, Padilla brings his talents back home.

His daughter, Caryn, started tattooing with Padilla when she was a college student and now they are both the only two artists at Dark Child, a family owned and operated business.
